I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last post! There have been lots of things I meant to write about over the past few months, like the amazing couple I interviewed about living with Alzheimer’s or my excitement at becoming a godmother, but I was so busy enjoying myself the time just seemed to pass me by.However, thanks to the speed and accessibility of social media, I have managed to send plenty of tweets charting my adventures. So, as they year draws to a close, I’ve decided to look back at my tweets and use them as a basis for a photo blog looking back at the year that was.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I’ve enjoyed reminiscing…

On 17th January I was at Media City in Manchester for an interview with Radio 5 Live – I was successful and they took me on as freelancer

A leaving present to myself… after giving up my job at ITV and setting out as a freelancer I rewarded my bravery with a pair of designer shoes!

I didn’t just spoil myself in 2013, this is the picture I had commissioned for my mum by Slightly Wobbly Designs to celebrate her birthday

At the end of February I made my film debut with a part in a short film called The Forgotten Land. It was so much fun getting my make up done!

On 2nd March my tortoises came out of hibernation. Sadly Alfie died a few weeks latter from a virus but Tilly had a lovely Summer in my new garden and is now back in hibernation

At the Copa, Copacabana! I travelled around Brazil in April with two old school friends, we were there for the wedding of a friend who now lives in Sao Paulo

And she wasn’t the only friend to tie the knot in 2013, I went to 8 weddings in total! On 9th June it was the turn of Mr & Mrs Cahill

I had a great 2 month working on the BBC’s Crimewatch Roadshow – this was my runner Jess trying out the props!

In July I started working at Real Radio. This was a very sad story I reported on about a young mother who was found dead at her home in Merthyr Tydfil

A busy day at the office, in the summer I produced my half hour current affairs programme for the ITV series Wales This Week

On 23rd July all eyes, including mine, were on the Royal baby as Prince George made his first public appearance

In August Pierre enjoyed his first day at work joining me at Real Radio – he’s now a fully fledged newshound

On 13th September I was at the Cardiff City press conference as they unveiled new signing Peter Odemwingie

Watching The Great British Bake Off is a piece of cake, it was much harder for my old uni friend Becca though who was a contestant on the show

And I even got to eat this in the Wales and Co office! It was made by one of the mums who appeared on Family Life Swap which is made by the Independent Production Company. Wales and Co also make The Wales Report which I’ve started working on

But it wasn’t all work, later that month I was invited to Singing in the Rain as a guest of the Millennium Centre

And he wasn’t the only dog being spoilt by the Wales and Co team, my series producer Cerith brought Monty in to say ‘hi’.
